Came over to experience the Bonnie and Clyde death site and museum in Gibsland and found this quant little motel for a good price. The room was clean and it was in a quiet area of town. The owner Cam was very curtious and very helpful. Will stay again if in the area
I pulled in expecting not to get a room because the only other hotel in this town is the Days Inn and it was full. I pulled in late for late check-in run the bell and they woke up handled me quickly and it was a cash transaction with a five dollar deposit outstanding and very cheap for the money and what you can outstanding I have nothing else better to say
This place is nice if you need a quick rest to sleep for the night. Clean rooms and good AC.
The rooms were clean and nice and the customer service was awesome .. When I say service was awesome I mean very respectfully and will meet all your needs just have to ask .. Would stay here anytime and recommend it to all..
Paid with Credit Card-Retro-Chic Hotel under New Management. I was passing through what seemed like a never ending country road heading North when I stumbled upon this hidden spot. Granted, the buildings are from a bygone era, as is the decor, and you actually have to usea instead of a digital card to unlock the door, as I learned when the owner was nice enough to allow me to check out a room before renting. The room wasn't fancy or new but the owner allowed me to undo the bedding and check for bedbugs and took no offense to my doing so! Guess what, NO BED BUGS & the room was CLEAN! When I inquired about the price, it was $75 for the night for a single or $65 for the double as it was the weekend. I couldn't drive anymore, it was only for the night, so I stayed. After telling him Id take the room for the night, Mr. Kam turned turn the wall unit a/c on to cool off the room and even asked me what temperature I wanted it set. There wasn't a hotel key fee and I was able to pay with a Credit Card! I was advised that check out was at 11 a.m. The bathroom is very small, but again, this place looked like a was a roadside built motel from 1965ish. The room was comfortable and they had plenty of cable stations on the flat-screen TV. Mr. Kam and his lovely wife, Ms. Viv were the kindest and Ms. Viv was nice enough to walk me back to my room as I was a traveling alone. I was even able to get an extra blanket delivered at 10 p.m. with no questions or arguments like some other mom/pop places. I tend to talk to people about life and I learned that this couple moved from another state and huge city. They just bought the place only 1.5 years ago and decided to raise their family in a sleepy country town. Mr. Kam and Ms. Viv apologized for the "old" look and odd color of the place but are doing their best to fix up the place. IDK who owned it before and ran this 60 year jewel into the ground, but under this management, I would definitely stay again...if I'm ever wondering that way!
